Celebrate Bayard Rustin's centennial in 2012.

Born March 17, 1912, Bayard Rustin taught Martin Luther King, Jr. methods of nonviolence, forever altering how African Americans viewed social protest. In 1963, he was the principal organizer of 'the' March on Washington, changing how the world viewed social protest.

Bayard Rustin was a Nonviolent Civil Rights leader who organized, in the background, with those who could bear the burden of his sexual preference. In many pictures he is seen just behind the speaker, when he deserves to be front and center. With the help of Mandy Carter, we are working on special programming for our 2012 convention to highlight his enormous contribution to the civil rights movement.

Convention Fee Refund Policy

Requests for refunds must be in writing via email or letter to the Co-chairs (Ken kbaron@nabwmt.org or Mack mscott@nabwmt.org)
60 or more days written notice- you will be refunded 100% of Convention Fees minus any PayPal Fees.
30-59 days written notice you will be refunded 50% of Convention Fees minus any PayPal Fees
Less than 30 days notice - 0% of convention fees will be returned.
Convention fees maybe transferred to another member by written request (letter
