What do the initials BWMTSC stand for?
It stands for: Black and White Men Together of Southern California
When was BWMTSC founded and by whom?
In 2003 by Ken and Mack Scott-Baron, check out the Our History page for more information
Is BWMTSC ONLY for black and white guys?
No, ANYONE of any race can join! If you are comfortable around Interracial male couples and single men interested in an interracial relationship/friendship, then you are welcome.
Is BWMTSC a sex club?
No, BWMTSC is not a sex club. Certain members will connect from time to time, but again we are not a sex club.
I'm not black or white; can I still come to BWMTSC's events and become a member?
Yes, all races are welcomed.
What are some of the activities of BWMTSC?
We have potlucks, cultural events to museums, dinner and movie nights, and our weekly get togethers at Hot Java Wednesday evenings and Gabfest on the 4th Saturday of every month. If you have something you’d like to suggest, we’re always open to new ideas! Check out the Events page for a complete listing of planned events.
Do I have to become a paid member to participate in your activities?
No. You are welcome to join us without becoming a paid member. But we encourage you to check out the membership page to see the benefits of being a paid member.
I want to become a paid member, what does it cost to join as a paid member?
$30 per year for a single, $45 per year for a couple. Check out our Membership page for more information.
Will I meet the man of my dreams at BWMTSC potlucks,or are all the guy's in relationships?
Some of the guy’s are single and some are in relationships. You won't know until you come join us at one of our events..
Will my information (email, phone number) ever be sold or given to another organization?
No, your information is always secure. We don't even give out your information to other members without permission.
What is an Evite?
An Evite is an Invitation by email to some of our events. We use it for potluck's so that we don't have to post someone's home address on this website. We also use it for events when we need an accurate count of how many people plan to attend one of our events. Email Ken Baron at kbaron@bwmtsc.org to get put on the list.
Can I come to the steering committee meetings?
All steering committee meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend. We welcome anyone to offer their suggestions for events also.
Does BWMTSC have a facebook page I can see and join?
Yes. You can see the page by clicking this link.http://www.facebook.com/bwmtsc
I don't want my picture to appear in the photo gallery. Is there a way around this?
Yes, all you have to do us let us know that you prefer that your picture not appear on the site. We already have some members who have this preference. Everyone who's picture is on the site has given us permission to post.
I have a question that is not covered by this FAQ. Who can I contact to ask my question?
You may contact Ken Baron at kbaron@bwmtsc.org
